ADP (Apparatus Dew Point temperature)

ADP (Apparatus Dew Point temperature), is the surface temperature of cooling coil.

ADP must remain less than the DPT (Dew Point Temperature) of the circulated air in the space, such that the moisture in the return air after striking the surface of cooling coil looses its latent heat and become frost, on the otherhand the return air looses its sensible heat and become dry and cool or dehumidified and cool. This frost on the cooling surface becomes water during off cycle and comes out through drain line.
